Contents Under Pressure Book Cover Beyond Instinct Book Cover And Playing the Role of Herself Book Cover
Despite the old adage, "never judge a book by its cover," people do exactly that. Which is why when I create a book cover, I set out to create a visually appealing piece that represents and compliments the author's work.

The cover is an author's most powerful marketing tool. A good cover is critical for the book's success. A quiescent reader will exude a deeper interest in a book with graphics that catch their eye; this includes not only the cover graphic, but spine design, as well.
The covers I create are not only about my perception of the book. They are about those elements which the author/publisher thinks would best visually portray and represent the literature.

Before I start designing, I ask for the author's/publisher's ideas and vision. The cover should be an extension of the hard work the author put into the writing and the publisher put into the finished product. And as such, it is important for the author/publisher to have a significant amount of input into the way the cover looks.

Publishers: Statistically speaking we know how important covers are to sales. As a designer I am sensitive to that synergy, as well as to the desirability of having your authors love their covers. I am willing to work with your authors as much, or as little, as you'd like. There's nothing like the thrill of having the author's, publisher's and reader's vision of the workfulfilled in one great cover.
