Caribbean Reef Octopus, Octopus briareus Class: Octopuses Cephalopoda, Order: Octopoda
Octopuses are the most intelligent invertebrate (no vertebral column) on Earth. They are incredibly fascinating creatures and I hope to see them on every night dive.
After I earned this octopus' trust, it allowed me to rub it between the eyes. It turned a happy shade of blue and followed me around the rest of the night dive.
