Mustard Canyon
Mustard Canyon is in Death Valley, CA. I took this picture shortly before sunset; the light illuminated the mustard colored hills and also brought out some of the neat texture.
You can actually hear erosion happening when you walk through this canyon, especially in the summer time. There is a ton of rock salt in the canyon walls. The salt crystals expand when the sun heats them up and you can hear them crack and break.
